Last updated: March 2026
TL;DR: Quick Verdict
ForevQR offers a budget-friendly stainless steel tile starting at $29 (tile only, no website) and a notable dedicated US military veterans section. However, it caps media at 50 uploads, provides no contractual hosting guarantee, and does not sell on major marketplaces. Scan2Remember costs $49.90 for a 50×50 mm plaque, with a free memorial page, AI photo animation, collaborative family editing, and pet memorials. For families wanting the most complete memorial, Scan2Remember delivers more value per dollar.

Detailed Feature Breakdown
Pricing and Value
- $49.90 for a single plaque with everything included
- $89.90 for a 2-pack (save $10)
- Includes plaque, free memorial page, AI animation
- Free shipping
- $29 entry point for tile only (lowest in market)
- $65 for tile + memorial website bundle
- Tile-only option has no memorial website
- No multi-pack discounts listed
ForevQR's $29 tile-only option is the most affordable entry point in the QR memorial space. However, comparing apples to apples, the $65 bundle (tile + website) vs. Scan2Remember's $49.90 complete package shows Scan2Remember offers more at a lower price for the full experience.
Material and Durability
- 50×50 mm plaque
- 316 Stainless Steel (marine-grade, corrosion-resistant)
- Laser-engraved QR code for durability
- 3M adhesive mount (may need reapplication over time)
- Available in 2" and 3" sizes
Both brands use quality outdoor materials. Scan2Remember's plaque offers a more traditional memorial look. ForevQR's stainless steel tile is compact and sleek, though adhesive mounting may require maintenance depending on surface and climate.
Media and Content
- Photos, videos, and music (10 photos and 3 videos free; more on Plus/Pro)
- Written stories and memories
- AI-powered photo animation brings photos to life
- Collaborative family editing: multiple contributors
- 50 photo/video cap
- Unlimited text content
- Social media profile links
- Dedicated eulogies section
- Dedicated US Military Veterans section
ForevQR's 50-media cap could be a constraint for families who want to build a comprehensive tribute over time. Scan2Remember's Plus and Pro plans and AI photo animation offer more room to grow. That said, ForevQR's veterans section is a thoughtful touch for military families.
Hosting and Longevity
- Free memorial page plan; Plus and Pro optional
- Optional: Plus $9.90/mo, Pro $19.90/mo
- Free digital memorial page included
- Claims pages last "forever"
- No published contractual hosting guarantee
- No subscription fees stated
- Memorial website requires $65 bundle purchase
A memorial page needs to last decades. Scan2Remember offers a free memorial page plan. ForevQR uses the word "forever" in marketing but does not appear to offer a formal hosting contract or guarantee, which creates uncertainty for long-term preservation.
Purchase and Availability
- Available on own website, Amazon, and Walmart
- Free shipping included
- Major marketplace buyer protections apply
- Website-only sales
- Not available on Amazon or Walmart
- No warranty or replacement program mentioned
